Reggie Miller 1989-1990 Season
This is the year Reggie elevated towards NBA superstardom. Miller started all 82 games and averaged a career-high 24.6 ppg while shooting .514 from the field. In the process, Reggie Miller became the first Pacer All-Star since Don Buse and Billy Knight in 1977. He was runner-up to Miami Heat’s Rony Seikaly for the NBA Most Improved Player Award. Miller led Indiana to their first playoff birth of his career but was swept by the defending-champion Detroit Pistons despite Miller’s 20.7 ppg on .571 shooting from the field.
